Team PCBC Returns for the 2026 Cypress Challenge

Team PCBC is gearing up for another year of the Cypress Challenge, taking place Sunday, July 26, 2026 — a 12km hill climb up Cypress Mountain that has raised over $6 million for pancreatic cancer research and care at BC Cancer since 2008.

Pancreatic cancer is the 10th most common cancer in Canada but the 4th leading cause of cancer death, with a five-year survival rate of just 10 percent. Unless more effective treatment strategies are found, it's projected to become the second leading cause of cancer death in Canada by 2030. Funds raised through Cypress Challenge go directly toward the kind of research you've seen highlighted here — from new early-detection approaches to a better understanding of how the disease grows — and the care patients receive at BC Cancer.

We're looking for riders and supporters to join Team PCBC this year. Whether you want to take on the climb yourself or back the team with a donation, every bit helps us get closer to better outcomes for people facing this disease.
