Pancreas Centre BC together with Pancreatic Cancer Canada held the first ever education day for patients with pancreatic cancer, their families and supporters on Saturday 6th December. Over 80 people attended.
Presentations covered many topics including:
- An overview of pancreatic cancer
- Surgery
- Research & clinical trials
- Screening & surveillance
- Hereditary cancer
- Nutrition and support
- Patient stories
The event was an opportunity to bring together patients, families and leaders in the pancreatic field for presentations and Q&A. Two patients kindly shared their experiences. Attendees provided useful feedback on what they found most valuable and how to improve the event next year. The presentations were recorded.
